With Making Public/ Public Making OPA aims at creating space for dialogue in different media easily accessible for the audience.
OPA builds on creating live events in the future where artists and theorists get the opportunity to show work in progress and to receive feedback from the audience. Conversely, the audience gets an insight into state of the art research and development. By focusing on the practitioner, the theoretician and the audience, OPA contributes to the development within the arts and the transfer of art and knowledge.
OPA aims to publish and co-publishes books, films and artist’s editions that feature provocative ideas and pioneer research by thinkers in the field of performance and live art.
OPA is very delighted to announce our collaboration with IBA – International Body of Arts in Londen for developing and co-publishing new provocative ideas in the field of performance and live art.
At OPA screening we will present an online program of performance films together with conversations with the artists and its relation to digital media. The OPA program will be published soon.
At OPA we support and provide resources for artists, students and professionals. This includes research facilities, information, online materials and programming packages. Currently we are working on an (online and offline) library for live art, performance theory, and critical theory.
Over the last seven years OPA developed creative and open events. We aim to visualize these events in our (online) argive.
